About Brief-Master™

Brief-Master™ Law School Study Software is based on concepts of William Goldstein, who at age 52 decided to study law as a second career. Mr. Goldstein, a computer consultant by trade, searched the Internet his second week of law school for a good program to organize the briefs he was writing. Of the four programs he was able to locate, all had serious flaws by his reckoning. The greatest flaws concerned automatic outlining (basically an all or nothing approach) and in backup capabilities. He wanted to outline only those parts of his briefs he might be tested on. He also wanted to backup his work offsite so his briefs would not be lost in a fire or other calamity. This led to the idea of creating an entirely new program with a user interface to better suit the needs of students as well as offering Web-based storage for briefs.

Once he started designing how Brief-Master would accomplish Website backups it became apparent that other Web features would be valuable to law students. This gave birth to the idea of Share It!, Compare It! and Borrow It!

Now Brief-Master™ is a reality. If you like the program please let us know. If not, just blame Goldstein.

Credit really goes to the others who made things happen:
